Stylish & Simple Summer Up-dos

Summer hair should be quick, cool and easy. On hot summer days it feels great to twist hair up away from your face and off of your neck. Here are some tips for adding a hint of style to a simple updo:

-Keep it slouchy and messy. The perfectly disheveled updo is a great relaxed, summer style. Sculpt fallen pieces around your face using the amika™ 100% Ceramic Styler.

-Rock a super sleek and straight ponytail. Pull hair back and smooth it into place with a paddle brush, apply amika™ Obliphica Shine Spray for a polished look and to keep frizzies at bay.

- Experiment with where you part your hair. For example, try a center part and a low chignon. Or part your hair just beyond your temple, the extreme side part, and gather it into a ponytail just behind your ear on the opposite side.

-Pile hair high atop your head into a ballerina bun.

-Secure your hair into place using a barrette or elastic in a bright color or with bow or beaded detailing. Or add a headband or head scarf over your updo.
