Last weekend we attended the very prestigious 23rd Annual Canadian Contessa Awards at the Marriott in Downtown Toronto! It was a very special experience as we were able to converse with and admire the work of many innovative and talented sylists and salon owners.
The event was hosted by the ever charming Bill Rowley.
As a Silver Sponsor, we were granted the opportunity to sit amongst the judges, as well as present an award (which was VERY nerve-racking as I, personally, had to present the award on live television). We presented the Atlantic Hairstylist of the Year Award, which went to Stephanie Corbett, of The Hair Force in Mount Pearl, NL.

Throughout the Awards ceremony, there were numerous performances, which dealt with the Past, Present, and Future of the hairstyling industry.

The Canadian Hairstylist of the Year Award went to Alina Friesen of Vancouver and the Elite Master Award went to Edwin Johnston of Nanaimo, BC.

After the awards, an after party followed at the lucrative location - Brassai.
