Miley's Backyard Sessions

Miley Cyrus and her band just recently released a the first two songs of her new series "The Backyard Sessions." The series took place earlier this summer and is a compilation of Miley's favorite songs.

Look What They've Done To My Song is a song written by Melanie Safka in the summer of 1974 and I think it truly encapsulates Miley's public decisions (ie. her hair) and how she is viewed by the public.

Whether you love or hate her new hair, there's no denying the free-spirited nature and the warm vocal stylings of Miley Cyrus. (Though I think her top-knot is super cute in this vid.)

Everything Is Embarrassing

Today, I'm watching Sky Ferreira's video for 'Everything is Embarrassing' and I'm not only loving the hook, I am also loving the pout, the cityscape, and the HAIR.

Yes, bleached hair with dark lipstick and the smokey eye is still hot.

As far as I can see, there's nothing embarrassing about this video or Sky's bad girl mega-chic locks. Her EP Ghost is out on October 16 and I will most likely post about that too! Stay tuned, music lovers.

Tiny Little Bows

Welcome to our first installment of Music Monday!

So I just got Carly Rae Jepsen's new album Kiss and the first track is titled Tiny Little Bows. So cute, right? I especially love this song because bows happen to be one of my favorite hair accessories (which I will write about later on Hair-Love in a piece called Hair Accessories Are Not Just For Kids)! This song is certainly a cure for the Monday afternoon blues.
