Inspirational Editorial Hair: Numéro #133

Our latest editorial hair crush has to do with big voluminous hair. Hair with tons of volume means sexy show stopping hair. There's definitely a time and a place for this kind of hair but if you modernize it like the stylist did for this shoot, you can rock this hairstyle anywhere.

If you're looking to achieve this look try using the Obliphica Blow Up Spray (tutorial coming soon)!

Inspirational Editorial Hair: H&M Exclusive Conscious Collection 2012

We love these soft, sophisticated waves that were created for the H&M Exclusive Conscious Collection (not to mention the colorful spring collection). This look is definitely wearable and not just picture perfect. We think these smooth waves can be worn from day to night. Give it a try!

How are you wearing your hair tonight? Here is a look to try: The Bardot

Bridgett Bardot's famous sexy, tousled hair is timeless. Lucky for you, we've got a tutorial on a modern take of the Bardot using amika products!

1. When hair is damp spritz some volumizer onto the roots - Try the 2 in 1 Volumizing and Styling Spray
2. Flip hair and blow dry upside down to give it more volume - Use the NRG Professional Drying System
3. Flip hair back up and then curl random strands with a big barrel curling wand in alternating directions - We recommend the 25mm Tourmaline Curler
4. Lightly tease the crown of your hair and then grab two large sections of hair from each side. Pull those sections back and then gently push upward before you pin hair in place.
6. Finish everything off with a light spray of the Obliphica Finishing Shine Spray and you're done!

4 Inspiring Looks from the Spring 2011 Couture Shows

The couture shows in Paris are an opportunity for designers to create their most elaborate dream gowns. They spare no expense and the craftsmanship and time that goes into constructing each piece is unmatched. The beauty looks are wrought with equal care and help to express the particular fantasy the designer is creating. Here are 4 inspiring hair looks from last week's Couture shows.

Flawless at Christian Dior Couture-

Orlando Pita and his team executed picture perfect 50’s updos inspired by the flawless ladies in the illustrations of Rene Gruau. Click here to learn more about Rene Gruau in a great piece by the Telegraph.

Full Tilt at Jean Paul Gaultier Couture -

At Jean Paul Gaultier, extraordinary lengths of extensions were molded into intricate mowhaks and braids and splashed with streaks of red and black. A high fashion tribute to punk, models paraded down the runway to the Sex Pistols and the Clash.

Subdued at Valentino Couture-

On the models at Valentino, Eugene Souleiman created a simple pair of reverse French braids with a center part. The look, overly feminine and subdued, was subversive in its restraint.

Romantic at Elie Saab Couture-

At Elie Saab, the hair was slightly messy, parted at the side and swept across the back of the head into a tight side bun. The feminine, romantic look paired sweetly with sheer gowns in rose, lavender and floral prints accented with lace, floral appliqués and sequins.
